Employees celebrated 10 years of our India operations in Bangalore and Pune, India
As the end of the year approaches, let's pause to revisit some of the moments that mattered to us in 2024. We hope this offers you a glimpse into the exciting progress we made this year that was driven by our Nutanix team and culture—the heartbeat of all we do.
#1 A Growing Global Team
We’re closing 2024 with 7000+ employees in different corners of the world. These dreamers, believers and builders embody our values–hungry, humble, honest, and with heart–and enrich Nutanix with different perspectives, expertise and passions that contribute to our company and the impact we make for customers.
This was a year of transformation for Nutanix which included new opportunities for our team. Brian Martin joined us as Chief Legal Officer and Jennifer Lepird took on the role of Chief People Officer to guide the evolution of our People team. We bid a warm farewell to David Sangster, a longtime Nutanix leader who left a lasting impression on Nutanix.
#2 Continuing Our Culture Evolution
In 2023, we launched an internal Culture Sprints initiative to nurture a vibrant and inclusive culture to help us towards our ambitious company goals. The culture evolution continued in 2024, with the successful completion of our fourth sprint. Over 3000 employees participated in the sprints to learn and discuss ways to bring our values and principles to life through daily actions.
Each of our employees play a role in how we show up as a company to ensure that Nutanix remains an incredible place to work. Here’s to continuing our learning and development in 2025!
#3 Interns Infuse Fresh Perspective
This year, over 270 interns from across the globe gained valuable professional experience at Nutanix to build on their studies. We learned a lot from them too! Based in India, the US, Mexico, Serbia, France, the UK, the Netherlands, and Australia, interns worked across teams including Engineering, Support, Consulting Services, Marketing, and Corporate Strategy. They brought new perspectives, unmatched curiosity, and contributed impactful work that left a positive imprint on Nutanix.

#4 Sparking Good Through Social Impact
Our fourth annual Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) Report was released in 2024 and highlighted Nutanix’s collective impact sparking good within our company, communities and for the planet. Together, employees raised over half a million dollars in donations and matching, and contributed 2600 volunteer hours to support 700 causes. Our employees find joy giving back to a range of causes using our Volunteer Time Off and donation matching benefits.
Our team in India collaborated with nonprofit Robin Hood Army to distribute essential items to those in need for Diwali.
Employees in EMEA rallied together for the “Wear It Pink” campaign to expand awareness for breast cancer and raised over $10,000 to benefit Breast Cancer Now.
Teammates in North America participated in Tour de Cure, a cycling event to raise funds for the American Diabetes Association, where Nutanix’s very own Lee Caswell served as Executive Chair of the event.
Employees based in Australia and New Zealand prepared food for those in need with Kids Giving Back.
#5 Cultivating Connection and Inclusion
Nutanix is home to seven different employee-led communities. These Employee Resource Groups (or L.I.F.E. Groups as we call them), play an essential role fostering diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging at Nutanix. Our groups hosted 25 different employee events this year, bringing folks together for connection, learning and fun–in person and virtually.
Our Family Experience group that supports employees with families of all shapes and sizes, hosted NextGen Day, where employees invited family members into our offices to experience a bit of Life at Nutanix. Learn more about the origins of Family Experience here.
Mi Gente, our Hispanic and LatinX employee group, commemorated Hispanic Heritage Month with guest speaker, Laura Sgroi, who discussed “Embracing Hispanic Heritage in the Workplace and Beyond.”
Our NuShades group for employees who identify as Black or of African descent, hosted a “Black Excellence” employee panel discussion and an interactive virtual workshop led by Ariel Belgrave on “The Art of Intentional Goal Setting.”
Our People First Alliance group that promotes acceptance, community and accessibility for people with diverse abilities, neurodiversity and/or mental illness, hosted a sign language series with GiftAbled to help bridge communication gaps in a world where auditory communication often predominates.
Our Pride Alliance group for LGBTQIA+ employees, celebrated Pride with colorful swag, treats and a lively game of Drag Queen Bingo hosted by Charlie Hides from RuPaul's Drag Race.
Our Project Victory veterans group orchestrated a special tribute to recognize our veterans and thank them for their service. The group’s work also contributed to Nutanix receiving recognition from the UK Ministry of Defence for being an employer that supports the Armed Forces community.
Our Women of Nutanix group put on an unforgettable International Women’s Day and uplifted the voices of women in technical roles at Nutanix.
Thanks to our employee groups for embodying the best of each community and cultivating connection and awareness across Nutanix.
#5 Igniting Creativity Through Collaboration
Nutanix thrives on innovation and collaboration and 2024 was no exception.
Our Global Engineering Hackathon brought together 2000+ employees who worked in teams on projects of their choosing to compete for prizes. The 4 day event resulted in 300+ creative projects and prototypes. The teamwork was inspiring and we’re eager to track how the innovation will go on to influence our products, tools and processes.

#6 .NEXT Takes Barcelona
We hosted our .NEXT conference for the ninth year running. More than 4000 customers, partners and prospects gathered in Barcelona, Spain to explore the evolving hybrid multicloud landscape. From educational sessions, keynotes, technical demos, certifications and training, to networking, it was abuzz with excitement. Most of all, it was incredibly gratifying to cheer on our customers as they shared their expertise on stage.

#7 Customer Wins
Obsessing over our customers’ success has been a part of our DNA since our early days and remains so today. In 2024, we surpassed 26,000 customers worldwide, welcoming new clients and deepening existing relationships. Wells Fargo joined us at .NEXT to talk about deployment at scale and Yahsat shared how they’re advancing artificial intelligence (AI) technology with Nutanix GPT-in-a-Box. We also hosted our Nutanix Technology Champions at our headquarters, where customers connected with leadership, technical experts and peers.
None of these customer wins would have been possible without our dedicated Support team who focus on delivering a world-class customer experience–and who achieved a 90 Net Promoter Score (NPS), our seven year average.

#8 Product Advancements
In 2024, we made substantial strides to enhance our product portfolio to fuel customer success and business growth. The launch of Nutanix Enterprise AI (NAI) made AI more accessible in a hybrid multicloud environment. The general availability of Nutanix Central simplified how customers manage their environments, on-premises or in the public cloud. We announced our Nutanix Kubernetes® Platform (NKP) to streamline the management of container-based applications using Kubernetes. We also celebrated the 10th birthday of our hypervisor Nutanix AHV and the pace of innovation and expansion that carried us through the last decade, and continues today.
#9 Strategic Partnerships
Strong partnerships took center stage too, with new and enhanced partnerships to propel our progress and growth. From our Dell Technologies collaboration to improve IT operations, to expanding our AWS partnership for customers using Nutanix Cloud Clusters (NC2) on AWS, and the launch of our Nutanix AI Partner Program, to simplify AI implementation and accelerate customer outcomes.
#10 Recognition & Milestones
We were honored by the recognition we received this year, from being named a leader in 2024 Gartner® Magic Quadrant™ for Distributed Hybrid Infrastructure, to being recognized as a ‘visionary’ in Gartner’s 2024 Magic Quadrant for File and Object Storage Platforms. Nutanix was also named to the Built In 2024 Best Places to Work in Washington, D.C. and Seattle, Washington and we received the Employer Recognition Scheme Silver Award from the UK Ministry of Defence.
Finally, we celebrated special company milestones, including 15 years of Nutanix, 10 years of operating in India, and office openings in Barcelona, Mexico City and Riyadh.
These achievements would not be possible without our employees, who lie at the heart of our success. Deepest gratitude to our team, alumni, customers and partners for the support and contributions. We look forward to the journey ahead!
