On November 22, 2023, Broadcom closed its acquisition of VMware (now also called VMware by Broadcom ). For existing VMware customers, the acquisition presents risk that may be managed by assessing alternative vendors, with a view to either migrating to alternative offerings or introducing a dual-vendor strategy.
Nutanix is excited to launch a special VMware to Nutanix Migration Promotion (“Promotion”) to help new customers migrate to our proven virtualization and cloud platform. This limited time offer will help organizations minimize migration and dual operational costs during the transition. (Ultimate savings are determined by your Nutanix channel partners.)
Customers can leverage this Promotion whether they are planning to continue using VMware vSphere as part of their Nutanix deployment or replacing VMware entirely. The Promotion also provides a way to accelerate VMware replacement by reducing the need to wait for VMware assets to depreciate.

Eligibility Summary
- Net new Nutanix customers only. Migration promotion can be used only once by customers who meet eligibility requirements in a single deal. Nutanix determines eligibility at Nutanix’s discretion.
- The minimum size of the deal must be $100K in total software contract value to Nutanix.
- Subscription purchased must be a minimum term length of 36 months to be eligible for the Promotion.
- Customers must be a public reference for Nutanix.
- Services must be utilized within nine months (270 days) from purchase.
- Pre-Promotion discounts on the deal must be within standard parameters set for the region by Nutanix.
- Only available for software and services sold by Nutanix. OEM versions of Nutanix software are not eligible for discounts.
- Deal must be registered and transacted by July 31, 2025 to qualify.
- Program may be terminated at any time.

- Discount is one-time only and not available at the time of renewal, renewal pricing will be based off standard software prices without one-time migration discount.
