At the recently concluded HPE Discover 2023, Nutanix and HPE introduced the HPE ProLiant DX Gen11, a new family of hyperconverged infrastructure (HCI) appliances. These appliances combine the Nutanix Cloud Platform™ (NCP) software stack with HPE ProLiant and Alletra server technology and offer Nutanix® software through the HPE GreenLake service.
During the event, Nutanix experts showed how easy it is for organizations to achieve a cloud operating model, while choosing their consumption model. With extensibility both within the datacenter and into the public cloud, the Nutanix cloud operating model provides one platform to run apps and data anywhere. At breakout and theater sessions hosted by Nutanix experts, attendees learned how to accelerate their app deployment, simplify app development and database management, and manage data centers, clouds and edge as one, all with the freedom to move apps and data with ease across locations.
The Nutanix and HPE ProLiant partnership brings together leaders in HCI software and x86 servers. These new HPE ProLiant models are engineered for a hybrid world with a wide range of use cases like Business Critical Applications, Cloud Native Workloads, edge deployments, virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI), unstructured data, and more.
HPE ProLiant DX Gen11 includes choices ranging from rack-optimized, storage dense, and compute dense models supporting the latest 4th Generation Intel Xeon Scalable and AMD EPYC 9004 series processors. These models ship with factory-installed Nutanix software sold as a subscription or consumption based on HPE Greenlake.
