Nutanix Converged Infrastructure Now Available through Ingram Micro

Nutanix Capitalizes on Increased Demand for Converged Solutions across Canada; Expands North American Distribution of Complete Virtual Computing Platform Portfolio

SAN JOSE, Calif., and MISSISSAUGA, Ontario, Nov. 27, 2013Nutanix, the leading provider of hyper-efficient, massively scalable and elegantly simple datacenter infrastructure solutions, today announced that it has entered into a distribution agreement with Ingram Micro Inc. (NYSE: IM), the world’s largest wholesale technology distributor and a global leader in IT supply-chain and mobile device lifecycle services. Under the terms of the agreement the Nutanix Virtual Computing Platform is now available to Ingram Micro’s vast portfolio of value-added resellers (VARs) throughout Canada, as well as the U.S.

Nutanix is leading the charge in building the next generation of datacenters, offering enterprises a highly scalable, efficient and cost-effective solution for running any virtual workload. The Nutanix Virtual Computing Platform is a converged solution that consolidates the compute and storage tiers into a single, integrated appliance. It eliminates the need for centralized data storage, such as storage area networks (SANs) or network-attached storage (NAS) products. Nutanix’s Pay-As-You-Grow model enables customers the flexibility to add nodes individually, so they can start small and scale incrementally to keep pace with the business.

“Nutanix is seeing explosive growth not only in Canada, but all over the world,” said Anton Granic, senior director of Nutanix Canada. “Teaming with Ingram Micro will help us capitalize on the growing demand for next-generation datacenter solutions and allow Nutanix to deliver our industry-leading convergence solutions to customers across Canada, as well as the U.S.”

“We are seeing increasing market demand for converged solutions across Canada,” said David Mason, vice president sales, Ingram Micro Canada. “This new alliance with Nutanix expands our data center portfolio and builds on our success in bringing to market best-in-class, advanced technologies, solutions and services.”

This announcement builds on Nutanix’s significant worldwide channel momentum. The company recently launched the Nutanix Partner Network, an end-to-end partner program that maximizes partner productivity and profitability, and announced an alliance with Promark, an Ingram Micro company, to expand its U.S. distribution within the public sector.
