Work From Anywhere
Nutanix is here to help you achieve your business objectives and minimize your technology costs in this era of many unknowns.
With employees and students stuck at home, users need access to their apps and data to get work done. At the same time, managing desktops and users isn’t easy. Cost, complexity, and lack of competency can make supporting end-users a real pain. That’s where we come in. We can help you deliver secure, responsive access to applications, desktops, and data to an unlimited number of users - regardless of whether you’re deploying from an on-premise data center or from the cloud.
Maintaining a fleet of laptops and physical desktops running native applications isn’t ideal. Especially when you think about installing new apps, managing updates, and provisioning users. Lucky for you, employees and students alike don’t mind sharing devices for personal and professional tasks. But security is a non-negotiable. And letting users save data natively to their devices is dangerous to say the least. With that said, IT teams are increasingly turning to virtual desktops and apps for help. Solutions like Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) and Desktop-as-a-Service (DaaS) are powering today’s workforce.
Read our blog Why Should You Care About VDI and Desktop-as-a-Service? to learn how successful virtual desktop projects deliver benefits for end-users and IT teams.
Currently have VDI deployed and looking to support more users? We can help you there too. But we strongly recommend modernizing your data center if you haven’t done so already. Legacy 3-tier data centers make deploying virtual desktops complex. Nutanix Hyperconverged Infrastructure (HCI) integrates compute, virtualization, storage, networking, and security. Allowing you to scale nodes instead of disparate hardware devices. Our software then helps improve network functionality and security. Once you have the right foundation, deploying or scaling virtual desktops with Citrix or VMWare will be a piece of cake.

Desktop-as-a-Service, or DaaS, provides the agility and scale of VDI, minus the infrastructure and some of the management responsibility. Running VDI in-house can be challenging due to constraints like app integration and delivery, budget limitations, and lack of VDI experts. All is not lost if you have VDI already deployed. The two actually complement each other. Most but not all legacy Windows apps perform well in a DaaS environment. This can be due to latency between your virtual desktops and the applications they are delivering, or hardware requirements for operation. So deploying both may serve you well depending on your situation.

Keeping Financial Traders Connected Remotely During the COVID-19 Crisis
JM Finn’s head of IT and CISO Jon Cosson describes how the financial firm used its private cloud data center to quickly scale up virtual desktop technology so it could stream high-powered workstation applications to fast-acting traders, who were forced to work from home during the coronavirus pandemic.
What Customers Are Saying
"If I need to give another 200 users access, I can add the email addresses into Frame, send them instructions, and they will be able to do everything they need to do while teleworking. It is almost like they are at the office sitting at their desk. It is that easy and fast."
