The Prism Central (PC) 7.5 release introduces several key enhancements in Nutanix Prism, designed to streamline day-to-day management tasks and improve the operational experience, to make datacenter management simple and straightforward.

Streamlined Cluster Management

UI-Based Prism Element Registration: The ability to register Prism Element clusters directly from the Prism Central UI alleviates command-line dependencies, making infrastructure onboarding more accessible to broader IT teams.
Run Health Checks from Alerts: Multi-cluster health checks from the Alerts page transform reactive monitoring into proactive infrastructure management. Rather than navigating to individual clusters, administrators can now run NCC-based health checks across their environment from a central console, catching potential issues before they impact workloads.

Improved Resource Management and IAM Controls

Prism Central Resource Monitoring: Delivers visibility into resource consumption before issues arise. The new Prism Central resource allocation and consumption dashboards provide transparency into which services consume CPU, memory, and disk resources. For IT teams managing resource-constrained environments, this visibility enables proactive capacity planning and optimization before issues arise.
User Deactivation in IAM: The new user deactivation function in Identity and Access Management (IAM) allows organizations to temporarily deactivate users removed from Active Directory without losing their historical settings - ideal for managing contractor relationships or employees on leave while maintaining audit trails and achieving compliance.

Expanded API and Navigation Enhancements

V4 API Additions: New v4 APIs for Cluster Settings and Recovery Plans allow DevOps and IT teams to further automate configuration management and disaster recovery orchestration to build a more resilient environment.
Consolidated Navigation in the App Switcher: Services such as Categories, Activities, and Nutanix Infrastructure Manager are now available in the Admin Switcher, providing a more cohesive and efficient navigation experience across your most-used management functions.
