Nutanix Unveils Agentic AI Platform Enhancements and Broader Ecosystem Support

At this year’s .NEXT 2026 Conference in Chicago, Nutanix emphasized its role in the Agentic AI era, introducing new capabilities that help enterprises and neocloud providers build, optimize, and govern AI infrastructure with greater efficiency and sovereignty. These updates showcased how Nutanix enables high-performance, GPU-dense environments for Agentic AI while giving customers choice across a growing ecosystem of infrastructure, cloud, and service provider partners. Nutanix also expanded options to modernize VMs and containers with existing server and storage investments, and advanced management capabilities to support consistent operations across hybrid multicloud environments.

Nutanix Delivers Complete Platform for the Agentic AI Era

Nutanix introduced new capabilities within the Nutanix Cloud Platform (NCP) solution that help organizations run expanding AI workloads with greater reliability and operational consistency. These updates strengthen the ability to build, optimize, and govern Agentic AI environments by unifying compute, storage, networking, and AI services into a full‑stack platform. Nutanix also expanded options to modernize VMs and containers using existing server and storage investments. This includes a newly announced collaboration to add support for NetApp ONTAP as an external storage option, expected to be available in the second half of 2026. Nutanix also extended its collaboration with Dell through forthcoming PowerStore integration, helping customers navigate hardware supply constraints. Additional enhancements to cloud management, hybrid multicloud deployment, and sovereign cloud support—including AWS European Sovereign Cloud, upcoming Google Cloud C3 bare‑metal instances with Hyperdisk, on‑premises cost governance, and Nutanix Data Lens—improve consistency across distributed environments and help organizations meet regulatory and data governance requirements as they scale modern and AI‑driven workloads.

Nutanix Extends Agentic AI to Empower Neoclouds to Deliver Higher‑Value AI Services

Nutanix announced new capabilities within its Agentic AI solution that support the growing class of neocloud providers, often described as AI-native clouds, as they evolve from GPU infrastructure providers into full AI service platforms. These updates introduce a multitenant AI management layer that, combined with the Nutanix Agentic AI stack, enables neocloud providers to expand their offerings beyond GPU‑as‑a‑service, and move up the stack to offer Kubernetes‑as‑a‑service, model‑as‑a‑service, notebook-as-a-service, and more.  This updated stack enables providers to operate secure, scalable AI environments for a broad range of enterprise customers, leveraging a shared GPU infrastructure while ensuring secure isolation of tenants. Enhancements in SP Central strengthen tenant isolation, resource management, and service catalogs, supporting sovereign and multi‑enterprise deployments. New tools in Nutanix Cloud Manager add usage metering, observability, and monetization features for providers operating distributed AI infrastructure.

Nutanix Introduces NKP Metal, Bringing Bare‑Metal Kubernetes to Its Platform

Nutanix introduced NKP Metal to extend the simplicity of the Nutanix platform to  running Kubernetes on bare‑metal environments, addressing performance needs across AI, edge deployments, and latency‑sensitive workloads. NKP Metal brings Nutanix deployment automation, lifecycle management, and Cloud Native AOS data services directly to physical infrastructure, giving teams a consistent operating model for both Kubernetes and VM‑based workloads. The dual‑native architecture supports containers and VMs as first‑class citizens, enabling organizations to maintain consistency across deployment models. Automated provisioning and lifecycle operations through Foundation and Lifecycle Manager simplify scaling and maintenance across large, distributed environments.

Nutanix Accelerates Service Provider Growth with New Cloud Capabilities and Migration Programs

Nutanix unveiled new multitenant cloud capabilities and program enhancements designed to support service providers as they expand hosted offerings and transition away from VMware based environments. The new Service Provider Central product enables secure multitenancy across shared infrastructure, giving each tenant an isolated private cloud experience while allowing providers to maintain centralized governance. A new “Powered by Nutanix: Verified Solutions” program helps partners validate IaaS, Sovereign IaaS, and DRaaS offerings to ensure consistent service quality. Nutanix also introduced onboarding incentives that reduce dual-platform costs and streamline migrations for providers shifting from VMware solutions.

Nutanix and NetApp Form Strategic Alliance with New Integration for a Modern Cloud Platform

Nutanix and NetApp announced a strategic collaboration to integrate NetApp ONTAP with NCP running on AHV, giving customers more options to modernize virtualization and data operations. This joint approach brings ONTAP data services together with NCP unified hybrid multicloud operations, enabling organizations to optimize storage investments, streamline virtual infrastructure, and strengthen cyber resilience. Customers can expect VM‑granular management, simplified day‑to‑day administration, and integrated ransomware protection powered by ONTAP. The companies also plan to work together to bring ONTAP capabilities into the Nutanix Agentic AI stack to support future AI deployments.

Nutanix Database Platform Bolsters MongoDB Support with New Certified Capabilities

Nutanix introduced a certified integration between Nutanix Database Service (NDB) and MongoDB Ops Manager, simplifying lifecycle management and data protection for enterprise MongoDB environments. This integration unifies infrastructure automation, monitoring, and backup workflows, enabling teams to quickly deploy production‑ready sharded clusters and perform coordinated recovery operations through NDB Time Machine. Organizations gain point‑in‑time recovery down to seconds and faster restore operations for mission‑critical workloads. The combined platform provides consistent operations across hybrid environments while reducing manual coordination between infrastructure and database teams.

Nutanix Showcases Growing Ecosystem Momentum with 100+ Partners at .NEXT 2026

Nutanix highlighted strong ecosystem momentum at .NEXT 2026, marking the first year with more than 100 partners participating across infrastructure, end‑user computing, AI, and security. This milestone reflects growing alignment around Nutanix as an open platform for hybrid multicloud and AI adoption.
