Nutanix has followed our breakout year for Container Management with another year of recognition as a Challenger in this year’s Gartner® Magic Quadrant™ for Container Management. We believe this recognition highlights the evolution of our container strategy and the strength of the Nutanix Kubernetes Platform (NKP) solution.
The container landscape is rapidly evolving alongside major industry shifts, including the explosion of GenAI inference, strict digital sovereignty objectives, and the imperative for cross-cloud control. Modern platform engineering requires managing Kubernetes®, virtual machines, and stateful AI workloads under a single, cohesive operational model.
NKP was designed specifically to support these enterprise demands, enabling consistent lifecycle management whether running on Nutanix infrastructure, public clouds, bare metal, or disconnected/air-gapped environments.
Nutanix Kubernetes Platform (NKP) gives organizations the choice to deploy as a standalone solution or fully integrate with the broader Nutanix Cloud Infrastructure (NCI) stack. Operating independently, NKP brings centralized fleet management, automated lifecycle operations, and consistent security controls across public clouds, bare-metal servers, and air-gapped environments. When combined with the full Nutanix stack, it bridges legacy virtual machines and modern cloud-native architectures through native hypervisor integration, enterprise storage data services, and unified management, helping to avoid infrastructure silos for both IT operators and application teams.
To help organizations accelerate container platform modernization, an NKP starter tier is included with most Nutanix Cloud Infrastructure (NCI) subscriptions. Existing NCI customers can immediately begin deploying and managing Kubernetes clusters within their familiar operational framework.
Don’t have NCI? You can also try out NKP in a guided test drive or connect with our sales team to discuss your unique needs in detail.
