Containers have become the cornerstone of modern application development, enabling agility, scalability, and portability across environments. Just one year ago, we launched Nutanix Kubernetes Platform (NKP) solution with a bold mission: to simplify Kubernetes® for the enterprise and make hybrid multicloud container management effortless. Based on the proven technology stack acquired from D2IQ, Inc. (formerly Mesosphere), NKP delivers a fully integrated, production-grade platform to deploy and manage containerized workloads anywhere. In just 12 months, NKP has shattered expectations.
Growing Momentum and Recognition
NKP has seen incredible adoption in its first year and the industry is taking notice.
Recognized by Gartner®: A Challenger in the 2025 Magic Quadrant™
For the first time, Nutanix was included in the 2025 Gartner® Magic Quadrant™ for Container Management, and was recognized as a Challenger. We believe this recognition reflects our strong execution over the past year and growing presence in the container ecosystem, as well as the strength of our vision that includes an embrace of open standards and open-source software.
A Leader in the 2025 Forrester Wave™: Multicloud Container Platforms
Nutanix has been named a Leader in The 2025 Forrester Wave™: Multicloud Container Platforms, Q3 2025, which we see as acknowledgement of the level of traction that NKP is seeing in the market. Forrester1 defines this market as “Offerings that enable the development, operations, and management of containerized applications at scale on two or more public clouds, at the edge, and in on-premises environments.” Our deep integration with Nutanix Cloud Platform gives customers a seamless path to hybrid multicloud deployments, whether they’re running VMs, containers, or both.
This is Just the Beginning
We’re just getting started. As we enter year two, we’re building on our momentum by scaling our investments in sales, marketing, and support, while continuously enhancing our container management capabilities. We’re particularly proud of the fact that NKP is being recognized for its ability to support large-scale, production deployments despite being a relatively new entrant. For us, the early recognition from customers and analyst firms alike confirms we’re on the right path.
