Nutanix Cloud Infrastructure (NCI) now integrates with qualified storage partners, enabling new deployment options for the Nutanix Cloud Platform (NCP).
We are pleased to announce the general availability of the NCI Compute product, enabling Nutanix customers to leverage external storage as part of their NCP deployments.
The first supported solution at launch is the Nutanix Cloud Platform with Dell PowerFlex, a complete server-based infrastructure solution designed for large mission-critical environments where resiliency, security, scalability, and performance are essential.
This new capability expands deployment options for NCP, enabling customers to manage external storage as part of their NCP deployment. NCI Compute complements the storage platform’s capabilities with VM-centric disaster recovery and security, software-defined networking, and integrated automation for the most mission-critical applications.
This new offering has been introduced as a complement to our NCI hyperconverged infrastructure (HCI) solution. It provides customers with flexible deployment options to suit the diverse set of organizational and workload requirements within their environment.
Organizations can deploy NCI Compute with external storage where separate management of compute and storage are priorities, and HCI where speed and agility are most important. These divergent deployment scenarios can be managed with the Nutanix Central cloud console for unified and intuitive operations.
Dell PowerFlex is the first external storage integrated with NCP, and is designed for large mission-critical environments where scalability and performance are essential.
This joint solution brings together the scalability and performance of PowerFlex with the proven Nutanix AHV hypervisor, integrated disaster recovery, and network security from Nutanix.
The integration allows for seamless VM-centric operations and automation. NCP with Dell PowerFlex will be offered alongside Dell’s HCI appliance powered by NCI, Dell XC Plus, providing customers choice and flexibility in their deployments.
For PowerFlex customers, this joint solution now offers an enterprise cloud platform with Nutanix AHV as a new hypervisor option for the most demanding environments typical of financial services, public sector, and healthcare.
