As we approach the end of the year, let’s take a moment to reflect. The past year has been filled with relentless pursuit of our goals, collaborative efforts to overcome challenges, and personal and collective growth that has shaped us into a stronger global company.

Here are some of the moments that shaped our year.

Nutanix is home to seven vibrant LIFE groups (employee resource groups). These employee-led groups are a driving force in cultivating inclusivity, connection and diversity within our company and larger communities. In 2023, we welcomed Family Xperience, a new group that supports and enables employees with families of all shapes and sizes.

Memorable LIFE group events from the past year included International Women’s Day programming, an in-person and virtual jam session to commemorate Juneteenth, and much more.

“When family and friends of people with special needs share our stories of challenge, joy, and success, we encourage others to be more sensitive to this community and to open their hearts to embrace differences.” -Daniel H., Senior Staff Technical Account Manager & Member of People First Alliance (our employee group dedicated to neurodiversity)

#2 Celebrating and Connecting

With a global team of 6000+, we embraced opportunities to learn about different teammates' cultures and experiences. Thanks to the collaboration of our workplace team and LIFE groups, we celebrated regional and cultural events in style, from Dia de los Muertos in Mexico City, to Lunar New Year in Singapore, and Diwali in India. Standout moments like these strengthened our global bonds.

#3 Evolving our Brand and Culture

In April, we unveiled a fresh brand look and feel, reinforcing our commitment to stand out in a noisy market and a sea of sameness. We also advanced our efforts to nurture a robust and inclusive culture, with hundreds of employees participating in Culture Dialogue discussions, which led to the launch of our culture principles and a series of Culture Sprints to enable employees to embody our culture in our daily interactions. Special thanks to our Marketing and People teams for driving this essential evolution.

Many ideas and projects born at the Hackathon evolve into products and tools to benefit our team and customers.

#5 .NEXT Sweeps Chicago and Mumbai

In May, over 3000 attendees gathered in Chicago, Illinois for .NEXT, an annual event focused on simplifying IT complexity in the hybrid multicloud era. The sessions, keynotes, customer wins, networking opportunities and debuting our new brand look and feel, were all highlights from an enriching experience. After wrapping in Chicago, we took .NEXT on tour to Mumbai, India in December, with plans to visit Cairo, Egypt and Barcelona, Spain in 2024.

#6 ESG Efforts Gain Momentum

In 2023, we made strides in our environmental, social, and governance (ESG) efforts. We released our third ESG report and awarded 17 Advancing Women in Technology Scholarships. Our global team contributed too, through volunteerism and donations that supported more than 850 causes, including Christel House India, The UK Committee for UNICEF, charity: water, and more.

#7 Sparking Excitement and Energy

This summer, our global Sales team gathered in Las Vegas for another impactful Sales Kick Off (SKO). The event set the tone for our go-to-market strategy and was filled with hands-on training, discussions, learning, and team building to set our salesforce up for success. After a successful SKO, our team was energized by the announcement of our strategic partnership with Cisco—a testament to the collaborative efforts of employees across the company who united as 'one team' to make it possible.

#9 Interns Infuse Fresh Perspectives and Innovation

Last but not least, in 2023 we welcomed 300 global interns based in 9 countries. They built on their studies with real world professional experience, as they contributed fresh ideas and unique perspectives that spanned multiple business units, including Engineering, Support, Sales, and more. We’re incredibly grateful to each of them for their contributions and we’re thrilled to welcome many back as future employees.

“I have had the opportunity to learn a vast amount of information in a variety of areas, from networking, to hardware, to virtualization.
