I hope you’re as excited as I am about the Nutanix product advancements being announced this week at .NEXT.

Intel has been part of the Nutanix journey since the beginning. We are collaborating closely to drive the next generation of cloud innovation. We are very pleased and honored to accept the Nutanix 2020 Technology Alliances Marketing Partner of the Year award—which recognizes our joint work together to drive innovation that provides a great customer experience.

The Nutanix cloud software stack is optimized for IntelÒ XeonÒ Scalable processors, Intel® Optane™ SSDs, Intel® 3D NAND SSDs, and Intel networking technology. These software and hardware optimizations provide an architectural framework for workload portability and infrastructure modernization.

Today, we’re excited to announce that Intel® Optane™ technology - both SSDs and persistent memory (limited availability) will be available on Nutanix appliances and OEM hardware supporting the Nutanix software stack. Intel Optane SSDs are in full production and now available for Nutanix and OEM platforms. The Intel® Optane™ persistent memory modules are available through OEMs as part of an early access program. Both technologies advance the capabilities and workloads by delivering a powerful platform to run Nutanix software from any cloud. These are the first of many technologies emerging from our joint innovation lab

With this joint lab investment, our two companies have collaborated to establish physical labs and dedicated headcount at both Intel and Nutanix. This purposeful collaboration is for accelerating the adoption of Intel technologies across the IA portfolio to the Nutanix software stack bringing new technology and innovation faster to market. Our most recent joint efforts enable Nutanix’s software to take advantage of the Storage Performance Development Kit (SPDK), an Intel-developed, open source library that reduces NVMe software overhead.

Intel and Nutanix customers are empowered with the best possible experience on applications and services, running in any cloud – public, private, or hybrid.
