Summary

The Forrester Wave™: Hybrid Cloud Management Q4 2022 report was recently published and we are delighted to share that the Nutanix Cloud Manager™ (NCM), Nutanix’s hybrid cloud management solution is ranked as a “strong performer” in the report. We believe that our performance in this report is an acknowledgment of our increased market share in the Cloud Management space.

Nutanix received the third-highest market presence score among evaluated hybrid cloud management vendors, which we think is due in part to our new NCM solution that unifies intelligent operations, self-service, security compliance, and cloud cost control. Forrester also gave Nutanix the highest possible marks in the onboarding support services, ongoing support services, partner ecosystem, and commercial model criteria.

In Now Tech: Hybrid Cloud Management, Q2 2022, Forrester defines hybrid cloud management as “a software stack that delivers governance, visibility, lifecycle management, and optimization insights across multiple clouds across both public and private environments.” In the Wave report, Forrester evaluated NCM and seven other vendors based on 36 criteria.

Key takeaways from Forrester

NCM was recognized by Forrester in the report, which notes:

  • “Nutanix excels in security, governance, and support…”
  • “Reference customers like its direct access to site reliability engineers (SREs), flexibility in POCs, and pricing….”
  •  “Nutanix is relevant for…organizations that are looking for superior onboarding and ongoing support.”

As a pillar of the Nutanix Cloud Platform™ product, NCM features a range of multicloud management capabilities that integrate intelligent operations, self-service and orchestration, security compliance and visibility, and cost controls for the cloud – all in a single unified solution.

Available in three options – Starter, Pro, and Ultimate – NCM enables customers to choose the right mix of advanced capabilities based on their level of maturity and comfort with automation and governance.

Additionally, NCM excels in supporting intelligent operations and self-service on Nutanix® and VMware® platforms. This makes NCM very attractive to Nutanix customers that utilize both platforms and provides a seamless unified cloud management experience.

NCM is especially valuable to the 69%* of Nutanix customers who run performant databases and data warehousing workloads. Today’s business-critical workloads require advanced performance and capacity management, automation, and governance tools to meet strict compliance, security, and Day 2 operation mandates that were available in legacy three-tier architectures.

We are pleased to have external recognition for our products, and we continue to innovate with NCM,  enabling customers to employ a cloud operating model that makes it easier and more cost-effective to build, operate, and govern their business-critical applications, irrespective of the underlying infrastructure.
