El Poder Judicial de la Nación is one of the three powers that make up the Argentine Republic. With more than 25,000 employees, it is formed by the Supreme Court of Justice and the other lower courts established by Congress in the nations’ territory. Due to the level and importance of its work, the entity began searching for a well-regarded technology partner that could solve their issues with their server infrastructure and backup capabilities. With Nutanix hyperconverged infrastructure, El Poder Judicial de la Nación experienced reduction in technical problems, improvements in information management and redundancy, and accelerated response times.

The implementation of Nutanix was a great solution for our infrastructure. In addition to simplifying workflows, it allowed us to reduce the space of our vault room and save the costs involved in its expansion, plus significantly reduce our amount of storage.
El Poder Judicial de la Nación’s desire to find a technology service partner arose from the necessity to virtualize a large amount of hardware to reduce the physical space in their box room and meet server redundancy and backup capabilities.
With virtualized servers and approximately 20 physical servers, they sought a solution that could replace it, greatly simplifying the physical space and seamlessly scaling their data needs in the future.
After a thorough search, Nutanix was selected because it met all the requirements and maintained leadership in the area of hyperconvergence.
The Nutanix infrastructure was utilized to enhance the technology in El Poder Judicial de la Nación’s Legal Security Department. After implementation, it was possible to virtualize all firewall operations on the Nutanix AHV Hypervisor to ensure the security and proper functioning of all services and achieve future scalability.

In addition to the benefits of IT and security, the government employees were trained by Nutanix to have the necessary knowledge to manage the platform.
The Judiciary saw significant advances from the implementation of Nutanix in terms of reducing technical problems, improving information management and redundancy, and speeding up response times. They were also able to reduce the physical footprint of the facility, which resulted in cost savings because they no longer needed to invest in the physical expansion of the server room.
After success with the hyperconverged infrastructure, El Poder Judicial de la Nación also decided to use Nutanix AHV hypervisor, which after migrating the virtual environment, generated amazing results in effectiveness, speed, and simplicity of administration. The installation was simple and processes were greatly simplified with great scalability.

El Poder Judicial de la Nación is currently considering expanding the Nutanix deployment through additional nodes.
Future plans are to apply the hyperconverged infrastructure in the rest of the entity, which will allow them to maintain good management of IT security and the rest of their workflows and work areas.
