With offices across Australia and New Zealand, MiTek is a global supplier of software, engineered products, services and automated manufacturing equipment to the construction industry. MiTek constantly strives to develop new services, and it needed a more agile, dependable IT infrastructure to support innovation. The company deployed a hyperconverged infrastructure (HCI) solution from Nutanix to consolidate IT operations onto a single platform. This cloud-like environment lets MiTek keep data within its own network for security and compliance, while providing a path toward a full hybrid cloud environment over time. Nutanix has also improved MiTek’s disaster recovery capabilities, switching from its tape-based system to a two-way data backup between the company’s primary data centres to minimize downtime in the event of an outage. The company is testing Nutanix Xi Frame Desktop-as-a-Service (DaaS), to enable new business opportunities in the more remote regions and help improve staff mobility. MiTek is also considering Nutanix’s AHV hypervisor, bringing Nutanix into its New Zealand business.

We’re focused on investing in the right technology for our business, so we’re in a position to continue to support our customers to the highest standards. Nutanix is a key part of that strategy. It has simplified our IT operations, given us increased stability, and created a roadmap to hybrid cloud and better services for our customers.
