Forrester Research, Inc., a leading technology analyst firm, has named Nutanix as a Leader in The Forrester Wave™: Hyperconverged Infrastructure, Q4 2023 report. This recognition is validation of the maturity and vision of the Nutanix® hybrid multicloud platform, and demonstrates the company’s strengths in helping organizations leverage the latest technology trends to drive superior business outcomes. Nutanix pioneered hyperconverged infrastructure (HCI) as a modern web scale alternative to traditional three-tier IT infrastructure. Since then, we have further enhanced the underlying technology to deliver a hybrid multicloud platform to run apps and data anywhere.

Forrester has redefined the scope of the HCI market in 2023 from fundamentally a storage offering to now include multiple hybrid multicloud capabilities that Nutanix is currently providing to customers, including comprehensive data services, automated management with self-service capabilities, and extensibility across datacenter, cloud, and the edge. With this latest report, Forrester stated that “Nutanix is pushing the line between hyperconverged and cloud native.” Nutanix is ranked highest in the categories for strategy, storage and data, support and experience, vision, and innovation. We were also among the highest ranked vendors for scalability, cloud, market presence, and security.

The unified software architecture underlying the Nutanix Cloud Platform™ (NCP) solution delivers high performance and resiliency, with a complete set of enterprise infrastructure capabilities that organizations rely on to support performant and mission-critical workloads. In particular, Forrester highlights Advanced Snapshot and Replication technologies as key capabilities customers should look for when considering HCI solutions, which were designed into the underlying Nutanix architecture from the very beginning. Forrester also highlights the need to scale compute and storage independently, which has long been a strength of NCP with recent enhancements for databases, as well as comprehensive Virtual Network Function (VNF) support delivered with Nutanix Flow Virtual Networking™ products. Because of the strength of the underlying infrastructure, Nutanix has been able to invest heavily in expanding the overall platform capabilities to include hybrid multicloud support and management, database automation, and ransomware protection.

New Cisco Partnership Creates Strong Market Momentum

Nutanix and Cisco entering into a global strategic partnership in August of this year to deliver Nutanix HCI on Cisco UCS™ servers, further strengthening Nutanix as the leading HCI solution provider in the market. This partnership further expands the set of hardware platforms on which customers can choose to run Nutanix Cloud Platform. Cisco now supports Cisco ACI™, their software-defined networking stack, on Nutanix platforms, enabling networking and security minded customers to move forward with confidence. Subsequent to this new partnership announcement, Cisco announced end-of-sale and end-of-life dates for their HyperFlex® HCI systems. Nutanix is pleased to deliver a complete hybrid multicloud solution to Hyperflex customers looking to transition to the Nutanix Cloud Platform.
