Big Things Are Coming to You at .NEXT 2024 On Tour

July 2, 2024 | min

Every year for the .NEXT conference, you challenge us to raise the bar. This year .NEXT delivered on that challenge with a new level of energy and inspiration for our customers, partners, and everyone at Nutanix.

Now, with .NEXT on Tour conferences, we get the opportunity to bring that energy and inspiration to you. We’re bringing the best of .NEXT to 18 cities around the world. To find out when we’ll be in a city near you, visit: https://www.nutanix.com/next/on-tour.

More than anything, we love assembling our most passionate advocates for our vision and enthusiastic adopters of our unified platform and innovative solutions. We are committed to demonstrating how we can help achieve your business objectives amidst:

  • Ongoing application and data growth, including rising costs and complexity.
  • An ever-increasing number of security threats.
  • A shortage of skills and talent.

All this while two significant inflection points are reshaping the landscape: the rapid rise of GenAI and the Kubernetes® platform, alongside ongoing uncertainty from Broadcom’s acquisition of VMware.

The Power of Partners

There is a saying, “You are the company you keep.” Throughout .NEXT, we were honored to be joined by a broad group of our partners, including OEMs, service providers, GSIs, public cloud providers, value-added resellers, and software solution providers. Together, we are committed to advancing our vision of simplifying operations across distributed environments by reducing cloud complexity and accelerating enterprise AI adoption, ultimately freeing you to focus on business outcomes.

Our expanded partnership with Cisco takes hyperconverged infrastructure (HCI) to new heights. The focus is on delivering operational ease, adaptability, and robust infrastructure to address the challenges and opportunities that customers face within their IT operations across the three pillars of simplicity, flexibility, and resiliency.

In collaboration with NVIDIA and Hugging Face, we are enhancing our automated and secure enterprise AI platform. We’re doing this with the NVIDIA NIM inference microservices and the Hugging Face Large Language Models (LLMs) library so that it’s easier for you to build and manage your own AI models.

We announced that we’re collaborating with Dell Technologies for joint product and go-to-market efforts that give customers choice for traditional and modern workloads.

With the recently announced integration of EnterpriseDB with the Nutanix Database Service solution, joint customers can accelerate their adoption of PostgreSQL to support transactional, analytical, and AI applications at scale.

Your Guides for Navigating Change and Uncertainty

The ongoing evolution of our enterprise-ready Nutanix Cloud Platform solution was on full display at .NEXT. We began by pioneering HCI with the foundation of our AOS Storage software and Prism management console, and have since developed a full stack infrastructure-as-a-service platform. This platform offers on-demand resource access and governance as part of a comprehensive and integrated solution that includes our integrated AHV hypervisor, cloud management, security, self-service, and unified storage.

Our vision for enabling the customer journey to build once and run anywhere in a hybrid multicloud world was highlighted by customers in the keynotes and breakout sessions. Esteemed organizations including Department for Works and Pension, John Deere, Yahsat, Boyd Gaming, Allied Irish Bank, and Computershare shared their successes on stage, illustrating why they chose to partner with Nutanix.

They shared insights, lessons, and strategies that provided a clear picture of the future of hybrid multicloud infrastructure. In short, delivering “the how” is absolutely critical to the modernization and transformation journey.

Enabling Your AI

AI’s transformative impact is undeniable. According to the 2024 Gartner CIO and Technology Executive Survey, 73% of respondents plan to increase investments in AI and Machine Learning. At .NEXT, our AI conversations reached across verticals such as financial services, public sector, healthcare, and retail. Use cases ranged from customer service, co-pilot functionality, search and analysis, and fraud detection, to name a few.

Beyond AI utilization, enterprises now embrace deployment and support for AI across public and private clouds, in the core, and at the edge. While most organizations run their AI on virtual machines today, in the future, AI will primarily run on containers for the freedom and flexibility they provide. This is critical as AI becomes more ubiquitous.

To drive AI adoption forward, we unveiled the upcoming Nutanix GPT-in-a-box 2.0 enhancements, unified storage capabilities, and our AI Partner Program. GPT-in-a-Box 2.0 will feature an expanded AI-ready stack and AI Endpoint APIs, helping to accelerate the creation and easy deployment of software workflows connecting private data to LLMs. Our AI Partner Program unites leading solutions and services, empowering customers to efficiently run, manage, and secure enterprise AI on our platform.

The Future Is Cloud Native

The announcement of the Nutanix Kubernetes Platform (NKP) solution, the first milestone from Nutanix’s acquisition of the D2iQ product lines, offers a complete, enterprise-ready cloud native stack. This empowers platform engineering teams with everything they need for managing pure, upstream Kubernetes clusters across on-premises, hybrid and multicloud environments.

NKP aligns with Project Beacon, which we announced at last year’s .NEXT event and introduces new capabilities showcased at this year’s event. NKP expands our vision to enable customers to build, manage, and secure cloud native modern applications and their associated data across multiple clouds. Once again, simplifying the ability to run applications anywhere.
