Nutanix NX Platforms
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Nutanix originally started with a single hardware platform (NX) supporting a single hypervisor, all of which enabled the company to hone its software capabilities and tight integration with the hardware layer, before expanding support to include other vendor platforms, hypervisors and clouds.
The 8th generation NX platforms are based on the 3rd Gen Intel Ice Lake processors (code named: Ice Lake), and provide customers with a high degree of configuration flexibility, including over memory, storage and GPU options.
The range of Nutanix NX platforms are designed for all common on-premises hyperconverged infrastructure and hybrid cloud use cases, including:
- Big Data Analytics
- Business-Critical and Enterprise Apps
- Databases
- Data Protection & Disaster Recovery
- Dev/Test
- End-User Computing (EUC)
- Remote & Branch Office (ROBO) and Edge
