Best platform for performance, scalability, easy management and technical advantages for building infrastructure for big data applications
Beijing, China, November 14, 2013 – Nutanix, the leading provider of hyper-efficient, massively scalable and elegantly simple datacenter infrastructure solutions, today announced that the China Technical Committee of High Performance Computing (TCHPC) has awarded Nutanix its annual “Best Platform for Big Data” award. The award was presented to a Nutanix representative at the HPC China 2013 Annual Conference held in the Guilin, Guangxi Province of China on Oct 30, 2013.
The TCHPC is one of subordinate institutes of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), while the latter is the nation’s leading academic institution in natural sciences and its supreme scientific and technological advisory body, and national comprehensive research and development center in natural sciences and high technologies. For this award, the TCHPC evaluated a wide range of vendors in the China market and after a rigorous analysis concluded that the Nutanix Virtual Computing Platform was the best product/solution for building infrastructure for Big Data applications.

According to TCHPC, Nutanix well exceeded the award criteria, which included performance, scalability, technical advantages over existing alternatives and ease of management for Big Data Infrastructure. Additionally, Nutanix was recognized at being uniquely innovative in it’s technology and disruptive approach to Big Data challenges.
This recognition follows a steady drumbeat of global awards, including the China Computer World Award for Data Center Infrastructure Solutions awarded in September and the VMworld 2013 Gold Award for Private Cloud Computing awarded in August of this year. The latter award was the third consecutive year Nutanix was recognized by the Best of VMworld Awards, making Nutanix one of the most celebrated at VMworld and throughout the virtualization community.
