The Next-Generation Infrastructure to Run Apps and Data Anywhere

Deploy a single software-defined platform across on-premises datacenters, co-location facilities, public clouds, and the edge – gaining unified IT operations and improved performance, agility, resilience, and security.

For over a decade, Nutanix has been a trusted choice across the U.S. Federal government to modernize, secure and simplify IT infrastructure. From datacenters to regional and field offices, Nutanix supports critical applications and data-intensive workloads vital to agency operations and for delivering constituent benefits and services.

Why Agencies Choose Nutanix

The software-defined Nutanix Cloud Platform (NCP) solution is fully API-driven to bridge traditional and modern enterprise environments. Built on hyperconverged infrastructure (HCI), NCP natively integrates compute, storage, networking, and virtualization into a unified high-performance and secure IT foundation.

This foundation includes the Nutanix AHV hypervisor at no additional licensing cost. IT operators have the flexibility and choice to run multiple hypervisors simultaneously or switch by easily migrating to AHV, eliminating hypervisor licensing costs, such as those required by Broadcom VMware ESXi.

The flexibility and scalability of NCP are key strengths that enable agencies to easily migrate workloads where needed without costly and time-intensive refactoring. To help you avoid vendor lock-in, NCP offers freedom of choice through its support for a wide range of applications, certified hardware platforms from leading vendors, public and private clouds, and hypervisors.

IT operators can build, scale and manage virtualized and containerized workloads as well as cloud-native designs and AI models within one unified environment. Learning NCP requires minimal training and can be operated with a generalist IT skillset. This unified cloud operating model provides a consistent user experience and enables intelligent and optimized workload placement.

Additionally, IT operators can respond quickly to changing requirements as well as deploy new capabilities without compromising security or performance.

Rapid Time to Value, Speed and Agility

NCP can be deployed quickly and scaled without disruption across diverse IT environments. By eliminating traditional proprietary server and storage silos that are hardware defined, along with their associated management tools, NCP can significantly reduce operational complexity, and space and power requirements compared to legacy 3-Tier systems. This results in lower energy costs to help agencies support their sustainability objectives.

Unified Management and Control

The Nutanix Prism console provides comprehensive management and operational simplicity across the entire Nutanix environment. It offers unified visibility and control over VMs running traditional workloads, which allows operators to manage resources, troubleshoot issues and optimize performance.

Security policies are consistent from Day 1. AI-driven automation simplifies lifecycle management tasks such as provisioning, upgrades and scaling so IT teams can focus on more complex tasks.

To support a complete application stack, the Nutanix Kubernetes Platform (NKP) solution delivers advanced management for containerized applications. NKP centralizes the control of Kubernetes® clusters anywhere they are deployed. This simplifies monitoring and management of the entire application stack.
