Nutanix Certified Professional Badge - Network & Security

The Nutanix Certified Professional - Network & Security (NCP-NS) 7.5 exam will measure a candidate’s ability to deploy, manage, and troubleshoot network virtualization and network security using Nutanix Flow. Successful candidates demonstrate mastery of these skills and abilities. 

Successful candidates for the NCP-NS 7.5 exam and NCP-NS 7 certification have approximately two years of experience in a Network or Security capacity and at least six months of experience with Nutanix Flow. The candidates are typically Network Engineers, Network Administrators, Network Architects, Security officers, or Security Administrators who have experience in deploying, managing, and troubleshooting network virtualization and network security using Nutanix Flow. Finally, the candidate should most likely have taken training courses, such as the Nutanix Network & Security Administration (NNSA) course.

  • Create a VPC and Overlay Networks
  • Create and Manage VPC External Networks
  • Configure Connectivity Options

Section 2 – Configure Flow Network Security

  • Analyze and Document Application Flows
  • Create and Configure Security Policies
  • Manage Policy Lifecycle and Modes

Section 3 – Troubleshoot Flow Virtual Networking

  • Troubleshoot Connectivity Issues
  • Analyze Alerts and Logs to Address Virtual Networking Issues
  • Analyze the Health of Infrastructure System Components

Section 4 – Troubleshoot Flow Network Security

  • Troubleshoot Undesired Network Communication
  • Analyze Logs to Address Flow Network Security Issues
  • Troubleshoot Identity-Based Policy Failure Related to User Group Mapping

Section 5 – Deploy and Upgrade a Flow Environment

  • Prepare a Cluster for Flow Network Security
  • Prepare a Cluster for Flow Virtual Networking
  • Determine Order of Upgrades and Upgrade Paths
  • Configure Virtual Switches and MTU
  • Configure and Manage User Roles
