If you use our Nutanix University mobile app, we may use Google Firebase services to support push notifications and live event features such as chat, polls, and participant presence during live sessions. For these features, we may process device and app information such as a device identifier, device type, app version, operating system, locale, time zone, and a push messaging token, as well as account and event-related information such as your display name, profile image, user role, event or session identifier, chat messages, and poll responses.
We use this information to deliver assignment reminders and live event alerts, support real-time participation features, maintain service performance and compatibility, moderate live event interactions, and protect the integrity and security of the service. Push notifications are optional and can be enabled or disabled through your device settings and, where available, in-app controls. Participation in live chat is also optional; if you choose to post messages or respond to polls, that content may be visible to other participants and to authorized moderators.
We do not use these Firebase-supported features for advertising or behavioral profiling. We retain this data only for as long as necessary to provide the relevant feature, meet operational, audit, and legal requirements, and enforce our event and community standards. Notification records are retained only briefly for delivery and troubleshooting, while live event chat and poll data are retained only for the event and a limited post-event period needed for moderation, support, or dispute handling.
This information may be processed in the United States and countries other than the country where you are located. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for international data transfers.
