The Nutanix v4 API family offers a comprehensive and consistent set of APIs that changes how developers and IT teams use and interact with the Nutanix Cloud Platform (NCP) solution. This single industry-standard API family simplifies infrastructure management and accelerates application development & deployment across hybrid multicloud environments.
These v4 APIs adhere to the OpenAPI specification, standardizing this family of APIs across the product portfolio. This significantly improves the developer experience with NCP – allowing developers to build quickly, securely, and with consistency.

- Cross-Language SDK Support: SDKs are available in Python, Java, JavaScript, and Golang, making it easier for developers to integrate Nutanix services into their applications with their preferred language.
- Fine-grained RBAC Integration: Seamless integration with role-based access control allowing for granular permission management across roles, scopes, and users/groups.
- v4 SDK and API Documentation: Access to a library of knowledge in the Nutanix Developer Portal such as API and SDK documentation, code samples, Postman collection.
- OData Compliance: Support for OData features such as resource filtering, sorting, and selection for advanced data querying.
- Backward Compatibility Support: Backward compatibility with v4 APIs across all API revisions within the v4 family (except EA versions).
