The Federal Team
Chris Howard is a Vice President of Federal sales for the Nutanix team. He has been selling into the Federal Government for 15+ years with an emphasis on Virtualization and Infrastructure solutions for Data Centers. Prior to joining Nutanix he spent 6+ years managing the US Army Business at VMware and also 3 years at Dell supporting the US Army. He received his Bachelors degree in Business Administration with a Major in Accounting from West Virginia University.
Federal Account Manager
Bryan Zissel is a Federal Account Manager on the Nutanix Federal Team. Bryan started his career as a federal contractor as a Systems Engineer, designing and administering virtualized remote access, VDI and Thin Client solutions. Bryan designed and managed virtualization solutions at clients such as the US Department of State, the US Army Information Technology Agency and the Defense Threat Reduction Agency. Prior to joining Nutanix in 2014, Bryan was an Enterprise Account Manager for the Citrix Public Sector team. He received his Bachelor’s degree in Political Science From Virginia Tech and holds industry certifications from CompTIA, Citrix, and Microsoft.
Director, Federal and FSI Sales
Jason Langone, a published author and iOS developer, has been involved in the virtualization field for 8+ years. He has designed and implemented some of the largest virtualization solutions in the world including customers in North America, Europe, and the Middle East. Langone has spoken at industry conferences such as VMWorld, Interop, Virtualization Congress-Citrix Synergy, VMWorld Europe, and CES Government. In 2007 Langone won a VMware Vanguard Award for Best DR Solution. In addition, Langone is a VMware Certified Design Expert (VCDX #54) and a VMware vExpert.
Director, Department of Defense Sales
Scot Susi has a BS in Electrical Engineering from Virginia Tech. He started his career as a consultant, developing software for various US intelligence agencies. He has over 18 years selling IT into all service branches of the US Department of Defense with companies including Powersoft, Sybase, SilverStream, BMC, and NetApp. Prior to joining Nutanix in Jan 2014, he spent 6 years at VMware focusing on desktop virtualization, server virtualization and cloud computing solutions for the US Army. Most recently, he was Director of Sales at VMware where he managed sales to the US Army and Department of Defense joint agencies.
Director, Federal and FSI Sales
Greg O’Connell has over 20 years of enterprise sales experience focused on the federal government sector. He has held senior level and leadership positions at Infoblox, Netcordia, IBM, PureEdge and Tellme Networks. He spent his early career in public sector sales at Netscape and Sybase.
Prior to joining Nutanix, Greg was a Senior Director in the federal division of Infoblox.Greg oversaw and managed several complex transactions working closely with the federal systems integrator community including the largest single order in Infoblox history, at $8 Million dollars. Greg has played Ultimate Frisbee for a number of DC area teams for over 12 years, and in 2008 his team, the Beerhandlers, won the WAFC Championship. He also enjoys water sports and snowboarding with his two children and wife.
SE Manager for the Nutanix Federal Team
Dan Fallon is a Senior Systems Engineer on the Nutanix Federal Team. He has served as lead VDI architect for some of the largest multi-level virtual desktop deployments in the DoD and is responsible for the design and architecture of multiple VDI deployments across various branches of the DoD and IC. He received his Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Maryland, a Masters in IT from UMUC, and holds industry certifications from CompTIA, VMware, and Citrix, including VCP4 and 5, multiple CCAs, and the CCEE. Dan is a frequent presenter at local VMUGs and Citrix User Groups, sharing his knowledge of virtualization with the community.
Senior Systems Engineer
Kelly Olivier is a Senior Systems Engineer on the Nutanix Federal team. Kelly has supported many parts of the federal government and intelligence community since his exit from the US Navy 10 years ago. He has been passionate about virtualization technologies and virtual desktop infrastructure since 2008. His last role was designing and deploying VDI as a managed service. Kelly graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelors in IT, and also completed a Certificate of Graduate Study in Systems Engineering from Regis University. He also holds several industry level certifications such as VCP 3,4,5, VCA-DT, and is VCP-DT #70. He is a South Dakota native, and enjoys hobbies in cars, Texas Holdem and shooting sports.
Senior Systems Engineer
Sasha Armstrong began as a Senior Systems Engineer with the Nutanix Federal team in January of 2012. Prior to this he held multiple positions with the US Department of State (contractor) working on several projects over a 7 year period. The majority of this time at the Department was spent on virtualizationinitiatives. Sasha caped of his time with the Department as the Virtualization Architect bringing virtualization to the US Embassies around the world. Sasha is also a former US Marine. Between his time with the USMC and the DoS he has logged extensive international travel for both business and pleasure.
Inside Account Manager
Finleigh McCormick is a Sales Development Representative for the Federal team at Nutanix. She has been in sales for the past 3 years and recently ventured into technology sales when she started at Nutanix. She received her Bachelors Degree in Public Administration with a minor in Business Administration from San Diego State University.
Zach Vaughn is a Systems Engineer on the Nutanix Federal Team. Prior to this he held multiple positions with US Customs and Border Protection working on several projects over a 6 year period. The majority of this time at CBP focused on server virtualization and data center consolidation, migration and modernization. Zach holds several industry certifications including VCP 3,4,5 and RHCE and RHCVA
Justin Raisor has been a part of the virtualization community for multiple years and has been a part of large virtualization initiatives and deployments across multiple verticals including Pharmaceuticals, financial and government. Justin holds multiple industry standard certificates and qualifications. Prior to joining Nutanix Justin had worked as a senior consultant providing customer solutions involving VDI and cloud initiatives.
