Nutanix Extends Support for VMware Horizon™ Suite

Nutanix Virtual Computing Platform Validated by VMware for New VMware Horizon View™ Agent Direct-Connection™

SAN JOSE, Calif., Oct. 15, 2013Nutanix, the leading provider of hyper-efficient, massively scalable and elegantly simple datacenter infrastructure solutions, today announced that it has been validated by VMware for the VMware Horizon View Agent Direct-Connection™ functionality. Providing support for this important new feature of VMware Horizon View 5.3 demonstrates Nutanix’s collaboration with VMware to provide joint customers with a fully optimized, cost-effective end-user computing solution.

With increasing numbers of employees working outside the corporate headquarters, IT teams are deploying virtual desktop solutions in remote and branch office locations to ensure maximum availability and break dependence on corporate WAN links. VMware Horizon View Agent Direct-Connection enables IT teams to securely manage, provision, and support highly resilient virtual desktop environments across distributed locations, while allowing end users to take advantage of local compute resources.
