I’m excited to share the news that the founders of Chromotif — Param Desai (CEO), Shashi Uli (CTO), and Jonathan Arms (VP BD), are joining Nutanix today.
This demonstrates our commitment to continued R&D investment in building modern multi-cloud services. Param, Shashi, and Jonathan bring their extensive domain experience and insights to the Nutanix Frame team. Together, we’re addressing the huge market opportunity for Desktop-as-a-Service (DaaS), with Nutanix Frame being the best choice for multi-cloud enterprise.
Three key drivers — high-performance, ease-of-use, and elasticity of storage and compute — led to the rise of hyper-converged infrastructure (HCI). These same drivers are now behind the tremendous interest in DaaS and application delivery.
Customers love the multi-cloud and multi-tenancy (web scale) nature of Frame. Multi-cloud gives them a choice, and multi-tenancy ensures that best-in-industry cloud security controls are benefiting every customer.
In many scenarios, especially when deploying a hybrid cloud, higher-density of users is also desirable. When Param and I started our conversations on the future of DaaS, it became clear that by working together we could accelerate development of Frame’s unique multi-cloud, web-native stack, and add a multi-user capability.
I’m also excited that our team will benefit from their vast experience as founders and industry veterans. Their founder’s mentality and a builder DNA are a great fit for Nutanix.
Leveraging the knowledge they gained while building a multi-user cloud native stack over the last 3 years at Chromotif will allow us to deliver invisible infrastructure and invisible services to any enterprise.
