Nutanix has created and made available a Universal Device Poller (UnDP) for SolarWinds Network Performance Monitor. The Nutanix management information base (MIB) is now fully integrated as part of the SolarWinds Orion database and is available to SolarWinds customers for immediate download and use. The UnDP package leveraging this MIB is available for download from the Nutanix Portal along with the supporting documentation.
SolarWinds sells systems and network management solutions to IT pros of all sizes, including the SolarWinds Network Performance Monitor that allows you to quickly detect, diagnose, and resolve network performance issues for routers, switches, servers, and other simple network management protocol (SNMP) and WMI enabled devices.
Nutanix delivers an “out of the box” hyperconverged infrastructure solution for virtual datacenters that eliminate cost unpredictability, variable performance and the extensive risk of conventional deployments.
Through the UnDP package SolarWinds NPM administrators are now able to monitor Nutanix objects and components such as clusters, containers, storage pools and disks; and are also able to oversee important metrics such as latency, IOPs and bandwidth utilization.
SolarWinds comprehensive products and services are used by more than 90,000 customers in more than 170 countries worldwide, and customers using Nutanix and SolarWinds can now benefit from this partnership while using the Nutanix MIB directly from the Orion database with the UnDP package in order to have a holistic datacenter monitoring view.
