Citrix DaaS across Clouds has never been more fluid

At #MSIgnite in Seattle, we announced that the  Nutanix Cloud Clusters™  (NC2) platform is now available on the Microsoft Azure® cloud. With this latest capability, Nutanix Cloud Clusters continues to deliver a true hybrid multicloud solution to our customers.

We are also announcing that Citrix®  DaaS is the first workload to be a validated solution on NC2 for Azure. Nutanix and Citrix have built a long partnership history with deep integrations, and this latest validation highlights the continued strategic collaboration of both companies. This validation also brings Day 1 support of Citrix DaaS workloads running on NC2 on Azure, providing greater capability and choice to customers.

Nutanix and Citrix’s work to test and validate Citrix DaaS on NC2 on Azure  has resulted in a dual validation from both companies, simultaneously. You can read about the Nutanix validation results here. You can also read about the Citrix Ready validation results here.

Validation Benefits:

  • Day 1 support of Citrix DaaS running on NC2 on Azure
  • Simplified management through a single pane of glass in the Nutanix Prism®  management console.
  • High workload availability and portability to scale Citrix workloads to Azure
  • Tested and proven integration design leveraging existing Nutanix plugins for Citrix

In today’s environment, businesses need application and desktop virtualization that delivers versatility, portability and scalability across infrastructure models whether that’s in the private or in the public cloud. Nutanix’s unique hybrid and multicloud solution with NC2 has a customer-centric approach to address these challenges. Use cases for a hybrid multicloud solution are increasingly prevalent across a range of customer segments, including banking and financial Services, healthcare IT, transportation, as well as many others, and Nutanix is proactively addressing the emerging business needs of these customers.

This solution is unique in allowing the deployment and movement of Citrix workloads back and forth – from cloud to cloud and from cloud to on-premises – in minutes, without any refactoring. With Nutanix NC2 on Azure, Citrix workloads can now benefit from true hybrid multicloud deployment and portability for Citrix via a known and trusted single management console in Nutanix Prism.

The future of work will be driven by hybrid work models that provide companies with a flexible infrastructure to support, secure and empower their teams. Nutanix Cloud Clusters on Azure will provide Citrix customers with choice in how they deploy these models, accelerate their move to the cloud and speed adoption of digital workspaces and virtual desktops that transform the way work gets done

As a result, customers can now seamlessly move, scale and burst Citrix Workloads to Azure for seasonal employees, to address sudden shifts in the workplace, help enable integrations of mergers and acquisitions and much more. Citrix on NC2 Azure addresses today’s demand for hybrid work and flexible work styles and for the future.
