Showing some .heart at .NEXT!

| min

As you may have heard, this year’s .NEXT features forward-thinking business luminaries, tech gurus, and hoards of IT pros all under one roof. These people will inspire your minds, but we want to make sure we also inspire your hearts!

With that in mind, the Nutanix Corporate Social Responsibility program, .heart, intends to give all attendees an experience that’s truly “.heart-warming.” Here’s what we have planned:

Celebrating “Webscale Women”

Nutanix’s internal women’s group, Webscale Women, will be hosting a special reception to celebrate the career journey of all women attending the event. Adriana Gascoigne, CEO and Founder of Girls in Tech, and Nutanix CIO, Wendy Pfeiffer will share their incredible and gutsy stories about moving from individual contributors to organizational leaders. Local Girls in Tech D.C. members will be making an appearance, and we’ll recognize women who recently gained Nutanix Platform Professional (NPP) 5.0 certification (whose .NEXT attendance was sponsored by Nutanix’s International Women’s Day promotion supporting women’s technical learning!)

Career Development Insights and Networking Opportunities for All

Along with honing your Nutanix skills and providing business insights to take your deployment to the next level, we’re also focusing on career and personal development—as well as the opportunity to build your professional network.

You’ll hear from industry experts at Gartner and IDC, educational luminaries from Columbia University, Harvard, and the University of California Irvine, and corporate disruptors from Nasdaq, Google, and SAP, all with valuable tools and advice to advance your career. For a dose of humanitarian goodness, you’ll be treated to talks from leaders such as Not Impossible’s founder and CEO Mick Ebling, and Girls in Tech’s founder and CEO Adriana Gascoigne who will share how they set out to better the world around them and how to recognize opportunities for change.

Girls Rock Rocks Out

You know if you’re going to a good conference, you’ve gotta have that .heart-thumping concert! Among the performances on our multiple musical stages at .NEXT, we’re excited to announce a performance by Fish Dad, a band from Girls Rock North Carolina (GRNC) which empowers girls, women, and people of marginalized genders to utilize creative expression to benefit their communities.

Our team has also reached out beyond Nutanix and we are excited to be teaming up with Citrix and Lenovo to feature additional Girls Rock programs at the event—be on the lookout for engaging with them at .NEXT!
