Nutanix extends its .heart corporate social responsibility initiative to financially support women studying advanced computer science and engineering

One of the things I hear most from people who work at Nutanix is their appreciation for the culture of compassion. From donating resources to victims of natural disasters to donating time through our Volunteer Time Off program, it never ceases to amaze me what a company of compassionate people can do.

This year we’ve added another program to our .heart corporate social responsibility program: Nutanix Women in Technology Scholarships—our first scholarship program to help young women develop their skills and passion for technology. Seven scholarships are available for five young women in the United States who will receive up to $10,000 each, and two young women in India who will receive up to INR 1,00,000 towards tuition and fees in the 2018 school year.

We’re looking for young women from diverse backgrounds, who are passionate about technology, studying computer science, computer engineering, software engineering or EE/CS, and have proven themselves as leaders and role models within their communities. By supporting these students with academic scholarships, we hope to support their academic pursuits, inspire those around them, and ultimately help create greater gender equality in the tech industry.

With the application submission time closing March 15th, 2018, we want to make sure word gets out! Please share the registration site with the young women you know who are studying computer science: www.nutanix.com/scholarships.

Nutanix strongly believes in the power of diversity, and the ideas and innovation different genders and ethnicities bring to the company. We can’t wait to see the positive impact these young women will make on the industry.
